About Us

Open Door (North East) was established as a registered charity in 2003. We aim to provide poverty relief and help to disadvantaged people in the North East of England, primarily in Teesside.

We used to have an office on Tyne Side which is now a separate Charity called Action Foundation www.actionfoundation.org.uk

To date, the charity has expressed this aim through providing food, housing and material help to asylum seekers and housing to refugees, regardless of gender, age, race, faith or lifestyle.

We are looking for other ways to provide poverty relief and help disadvantaged people, regardless of gender, age, race, faith or lifestyle.

Our trust has the following members:
